A list of events, split into upcoming and past, that come from following events or event series. In phase 2 it’ll include events the users they follow “boost”.

Profiles

A profile can be a user, event series, event, or location. They can be followed, or eventually, boosted.

Event Series

An event series is a collection of events that a user can follow to be notified when there is a new event posted.

Event

An event can be standalone or part of an event series. If the user follows the event series, they will be notified of new events in the series, if the user follows the event, they’ll be notified if it is canceled.

Following

Users can follow other users, event series, and events to get notified of updates. When the user follows a

  • Phase 1: notified when that user posts a new event
  • Phase 2: notified when that user “boosts” something
• Event Series
  • Phase 1: notified when a new event is published or canceled in the series
  • Phase 2: probably nothing new
• Event – it’s usually better to follow the Event Series if it has one to continue to get updates after the event is over
  • Phase 1: notified if the event is canceled
  • Phase 2: probably nothing new

Boosting (Phase 2)

• Users can “boost” an event or event series as a way of promoting it to their followers
